Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside thoroughly used up, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming, "WOW, WHAT A RIDE!"

Fort Laramie Wyoming
Shane had a field trip to the historic Ft. Laramie. It was a grand day. The weather was beautiful. The park ranger was full of all kinds of interesting stories. After Ft. Laramie he was off to Signature Rock, that is where the pioneers heading west with the wagon trains would carve their names into the side of the rock.
"Wicked" AWESOME!!
The musical was unbelievable!! We all loved it. We will never be able to watch The Wizard of Oz the same way again. Elphaba the wicked witch of the west really wasn't wicked at all. We all fell in love with her by the end of the show. The music from the show was absolutely FABULOUS!! In Travis' words "It was Wicked awsome Mom!"

Trooper Update
Well, Trooper has gained anther 10 pounds. Yep.....10 pounds. He now weighs 140. I weigh him every time I take him to be groomed. So after weigh in, I was in a bit of a panic at the groomer/vets office and asked to speak to a vet to see what could be causing his weight gain. He has been dieting and exercising for months and still continues to gain weight. At his current rate of weight gain, he will blow up by Christmas. So the vet decided to run blood tests and discovered he has a hypothyroid, which is an under-active thyroid. He is still on his diet and exercise regime, but with medication he should start to loose and actually get to the normal Lab size instead of his current resemblence to a St. Bernard.
